In recent years, Argentine foreign trade has been marked by strong volatility, not only as a result of abrupt policy changes in terms of domestic policies but also due to variations in the international economic context: trade wars, tariff increases, commodity price fluctuations, and new rules in free trade agreements.
At Infodash, we systematized the information provided by the National Institute of Statistics and Census (INDEC) to offer a comprehensive and dynamic view of Argentine foreign trade. The interactive dashboard allows you to explore export and import flows from 1995 to the present, analyzing their evolution over time, their distribution by country, and the main products involved.
For example, it is possible to filter data to see how exports of primary products, industrial manufactures, or fuels evolved, as well as to identify the main destinations (such as Brazil, China, or the United States) and the origins of imports (for example, capital goods from Europe or Asia). The dashboard tabs allow you to navigate through different types of analysis: Trade exchange, trade by country, trade by category, and trade by main trade partners.
One of the most relevant features of the dashboard is its ability to cross-reference variables and quickly detect which sectors or industries could be most affected by a change in global trade conditions. In a context where protectionist policies, bilateral agreement reviews, and tariff increases resurface, having a tool that synthesizes this information is of great utility.
This dashboard is thus proposed as a useful tool not only for foreign trade specialists, but also for business owners, journalists, public officials, and anyone interested in better understanding how Argentina positions itself in the global economic scenario.
